Fine day

Why is today fine, you ask? Well let me tell you 🙂  One, the weather is the best it has been for a while and two, today is my one (bad/good meal) day and three, today I take my first walk in over a week to give the knee a test. All things that I look forward to and enjoy.

Okay, the weather is taking care of itself and it is sweet, so much so that I got up with the sunrise this morning (cold weather makes me stay in bed longer). It is only 10 am and I have the door open and I am so enjoying the fresh air. The weather man says it is only 50 something out and that the high will only be in the low 60s but still, it feels nice.

About that bad meal, my favorite meal of the day is breakfast so off to the fast food place for my favorite junk foods 😉 Today it was Carl’s and I had me a biscuit and gravy, plus 2 bacon egg cheese biscuits, it was so good! Now I have to be good the rest of today and the next 15 days, no problem, I can do that.

Last but not least and probably the most important is exercise/walking. I have taken my first walk after not walking for a week and it sure was nice to be out. The mountains that are in the distance where calling me hard but I resisted the temptation for the long walk and kept it to just over two miles. We will see how the knee is going to handle the walk. If it does bad I will take more time off and if it does well I will just take it easy for a while till I am more sure of it. The knee still feels a bit “off” (not just right) and I am a bit leery of it still.
Here is my walk.
I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.39mi, time: 50:04, pace: 20:57min/mi, speed: 2.86mi/h.

The above part of this post, posted from my Thunderbolt phone with the WordPress for Android app.

Bird of the week is a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and I took this picture maybe 7 years ago in KY.

Okay at the end of the day, the knee don’t feel too bad but I think the morning will be a better time to judge.
