Bird: I found another shot of the Pyrrhuloxia, but it is not very good.
I took this bird picture in Cloudcroff NM. Williamson’s Sapsucker.

Weather: We have clouds and thunder again, so maybe some rain ……

Update 2pm: Finally a good rain and it feels good.

Near 3:30; The rain is still coming 🙂 About 4:15 and the rain has stopped, it was a good rain.

  1. Beautiful P Bird – that’s what I call them because I have no idea how to pronounce their name. I’ve never seen a Sapsucker – what a beautiful tail he has. I’m still envious of your weather. I’ll be here a few days, I think, in ABQ, but really looking forward to some rain at Storrie. 🙂

  2. Pyrrhuloxia, yes that a tough one to say and spell! Barbara today is looking like it could rain here again and I hope it does. Back in Ky the most common Sap-sucker are the Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker maybe I’ll post a picture of one of those soon.
When I watch the weather in the evening ABQ is always about 10° higher than here, too hot for me.
