Western Meadowlark

Pictures: This morning I heard this one singing just outside my RV door, Western Meadowlark. It was in the top of a tree so I had the back lighting 😦

New location/Weather: I am now camp near Ash Fork, AZ and it is a bit cooler here for sure. I have pick out a spot so I will stay a bit and see how it feels.

Exercise: Walked for just over 4 miles today.

Night folks

  1. Even with the back lighting both turned out really good. Well exposed subjects and no blown highlights in the background. I envy your 4 miles, I think I’m doing good when I walk 2 miles. I’m pretty sure I could double that but it’s a mental thing that holds me in at just two.

    1. Thank you Alix, makes me nuts when I get in the slow connection area, I do not think I could stand doing a whole country with slow connections! Should be some fun photos to be had over there 🙂

  2. He’s a beauty! I’ve misplaced my favorite birding book with my log in it, but I don’t think I’ve seen the Western Meadowlark yet. Hope it warms up soon where you are. ::))

    1. Thanks Barbara, the Western Meadowlark likes open fields and loves to sing their song 🙂 It is not too bad here but I’m a bit spoiled to having the weather my way. It is a bit overcast here today but I’m betting that covers most of the State. At 11am the temperature is about 56°, so pretty comfortable in a sweat shirt. This area is 5700 feet so just a little cooler than where you guys are.
