Back to the Roof

Pictures : Today I started cleaning a little farther back on the roof in preparation to re-coat the edge area of the roof. When cleaning an area for the 1.5 inch (3.81 cm) wide EternaBond tape, I only needed to clean about 2 inches (5.08 cm) up on the rubber roof, now I want a bit more area of the roof cleared for re-coating. Clearing back to an area of the roof where it starts to flatten out. Maybe 4 or 5 inches (12.7 cm) up … . I will have to go all the way down both sides, and do a couple little areas more toward the center of the roof.
I am thinking, after all the putty knife work, I will use coarse sandpaper to rough it up a bit, clean the area, and then apply the coating.

This will take a while, using my putty knife working off the ladder. It is a big job, and I have kind of been putting it off. However, it needs to get done, so here I go!

Knock on wood, it has rained enough for me to know that I have no leaks. Now it’s just cosmetic and preventive work on the roof.

By the way, there is not a neat little line where I peel to, because the coating on the roof just don’t peel away in a neat little line. When I apply the new coating, it will overlap the old stuff.
A Roofmore

Weather : Looks like we are in for about 3 days of near 100℉, not looking forward to that. The good news, I see that we have small changes of precipitation about every day for the next 10 days. Also, after 3 days, it looks like it will get back to the low 90s again. At least that is what the one weather site says that I looked at.

Night Folks.
