Pictures: Here are some shot from around the camp ground.
NOTE: If these photos are not showing, remember that this is the day/evening that Flickr(Where I link/host my photo from) is shutting down for maintenance/Moving for about 12 hours.
Here I am all nestled in a site.
One of the enlarged and leveled site.
One of the old site not improved, it is a very large site but not level.
Here is a map of the trails that I so love about this area.
Exercise: I walked 2.8 miles today, just love the trails around here 🙂
Weight: I am down about 35 lbs from the 1st of Feb …. so I am working on it.
I am going to end my post early today due to the Flickr shutdown this evening so
Good day Folks
Pictures: This is the Sand Buff over look in El Malpais National Park near Grants NM, a very interesting area. I took this shot some years back.
Maintenance : I had to buy a new tire for the RV, so today I order that tire at a local shop and will have it put on the rim tomorrow and maybe I will put it on the RV tomorrow. Also I scheduled an oil change for the truck at the same time. I need to grease one more wheel bearing when I change the tire on the RV and grease one spring joint that would not take grease the last time I tried. I’ll likely have to put a wrench on the mount and turn it a bit. Maintenance an always present thing …. not as bad as a house and yard mind you but still needed 🙂 . If I have not said lately “I love my house on wheels” 😁
Pictures: This White-Crowned Sparrow came by for a little drink of water.
First of Month: I always shop for many things at the first of the month, no need for me to wait till them … I guess I do it out of habit. I will buy my bath room stuff and other odds and ends, just kind of stock up on thing like dish soap and such. Also this month is Oil change time for the truck so I bought the oil and filter I need to do that (or have it done). So a day of shopping and eating.
Diet: I am on the Atkins diet again but I take one day a month to be bad and on that day I eat what I want. Today is that day 🙂 Today I had a big old hamburger with an order of large fires and later I will have a big sub sandwich and chips that I pick up at Walmart this morning! Lots of bread and potato stuff! Oh, there was some sweet stuff in there too!
Pictures: I am sure that I have posted this shot back a couple of years ago or so but I like the colors(yellow, orange and blue) and the fire, so I will give it life again.
Hot air balloons are interesting, light weight material that looks like a cigarette burn would destroy it but they shoot a large steam of fire up inside it and it works beautifully. Mind you I know that the balloons are likely made of material that can deal with the heat and fire that it encounters, but just looking at it makes me wonder, LOL.
Exercise: Back to the short walk today, too much wind this morning for the bike ride.
Ride: My friend Barry wanted to take a ride to Las Cruces to pick up something for his RV so I went with. Something to do. We ended up going a little farther to Camping World so a round trip of somewhere near 150 miles, give or take.
Back east I could go to about any kind of store I wanted and not be gone much more than a couple of hours, not so out here in the west!
Pictures: This from my Flickr Photo stream in June of 2013. This is a shot from the top of El Morro National Monument.
Weather: Still beautiful 🙂
Pictures: I was looking for a photo for today’s post and found this from just a month ago, these are the Florida mountains that are about 6 miles from here. This picture sure makes today’s weather look mighty fine! Today a light breeze is blowing and I’m setting here with the door open, watching the birds feed and life is good … and warm!
Pictures: Took this shot back in 05 while I was still living in a stick and brick. Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, enjoying my seeds.
Cooler: It is a pretty day out today and the good thing is that the wind is not blowing much. Yesterday was madding windy!
WordPress/Google: I use the Noscript extension in Firefox and when I log into WordPress.com I usually have to allow WordPress.com and wp.com and I am good to go to do all the things I need to do on the blog. Over the last few days I have notice that I have to allow google.com and google-analytics.com in order for everything to work (Tags, proof reader and the tool bar just above the text box). I really don’t like allowing google anything pass my Noscript extension. If this continues I will stop using tags and find another way to proof read my text, its not like I am all that good at this writing thing anyways! I will miss the handy tool bar.
I do understand that this interconnection is what allows google search to find my blog and things in my post on the blog, however if I was worry about all that I would just use google blogger. I think I am one of these folks that would like to see big tech companies (like Google) broke apart.
Pictures: A Black-tailed Gnatcatcher.
Weather: The wind continues!
Pictures: An old but goodie form way back in 06, a very common Fleablane Daisy.
Rain: It has rain most of the afternoon and it is coolish, not my favorite weather.
Pictures: This is from my storage files but they are not that old, I took this shot while at Blue Water Lake State Park.
Flickr: For any of you who use Flickr the change over from Yahoo to Smugmug is starting to happen. I have a Pro account and a free account. Today I changed both my Flickr accounts over to the new login and it went very well for me.
