Pictures: Just weeds.
Move: On the move today and will overnight at Walmart.

Moved: Today I have moved to a place near Datil, NM. It is for sure nowhere land. A little peace and quiet now after being around cities for a while. Very slow internet connection and no TV what-so-ever!
I have no pictures for you today but tomorrow I will get some of the camping area 🙂 The place has lots of birds around too but it has a week limit stay so I may not have time to entice the birds to come pose for a photo or two 🙂
The good news is that it is farther north and higher in elevation …. oh yeah it is a lot cooler!!

Pictures: Chipping Sparrow and a Gambel’s Quail.
Clicking these images will get you to a bigger picture.
Weather : It is very hot on some of the days now( Well, maybe I should say it is very hot to me in the RV), reaching up near 90. I am in high hopes that I can get all my VA(medical) stuff done soon! After I get done with the VA I can be on my way to cooler places. Still have no ideal where that might be …. but likely it will be north.
This Area and State Parks: I have enjoyed my stay in this area and it has been handy for me to get to the VA. There are 3 State Parks in a 20 mile radius, Caballo Lake, Percha Dam and Elephant Butte State parks, all of which you can switch between when you like.
I bought the annual State Park pass ( $100.00 for senior residents, $225.00 for most others) and with that I can stay in any NM State park free(no hookups) for two weeks at a time. Note: there are over 30 parks. If you want to hook up to Electric/water it cost you a whole $4.00 a day 🙂 Ain’t that great! Once you stay your two weeks you can leave for 6 days and come back and stay another two-week if you want and some folks spend the summer doing that. In this area there are three State Parks and you can rotate between them if you want to and that is what I have done. I have only stayed at two of them. I will likely spend the summer running around the State Parks, but I will go north when I can, to cooler places.
Friends: Well my friend Bruce will hit the road tomorrow headed east, good travels to you Bruce and be careful out on the big road!
So, I guess I will have some solo time. That is okay, I like friends and I like alone time too 🙂

Pictures: Here are the last pictures from Rockhound State Park, these cows would come by grazing in the field now and again. Don’t look like a lot to graze on to me but they look like they are doing okay.
Another thing is I was born and raised in the country and they give me that down home feeling 🙂
I get a kick out of folks that come from the city and have never seen cattle up close, I really love it when I hear them calling the cattle like they call their pets. Of course the truth is cows are like most animal you can train them to come to about any call if you give then the reward they want (food/feed)!
Moved: My friend Barry and I have moved today. We are now in Caballo, NM.
Night Folks
Today I have moved and my friend Barry took off to Yuma to get work done on both his trailer and truck.
The last place we was at was over run with Pack Rats, not a good thing at all!
We both hit the road at the same time this morning, my friend headed on and I just move a few miles away. After getting to my new location I headed into the city to get water and do some shopping chores. Didn’t get all my chores done but got a few of them done.
This is the first time this summer that I will be camping in an area without friends around 😦 Hey, I miss you guys! I hope all my friends are doing well and having a good time and I hope Barry has good luck with his repairs!
The weather here is kind of warm but not too bad. Our last day in Flagstaff was way too cold at night (21° F) for sure too cold for me!
Hopefully over the next two weeks I’ll get into Sedona and get some good shots of the red rock mountains!

Pictures: Two more from the the car show.
What do you think ….. maybe this one needs a little work??
Moved: Today My friend and I moved south a ways, we are now south of Sedona, AZ – about 18 miles. Last night at our location west of Flagstaff it got down to 21° F, a bit cold for RVs I think. We moved less than a hour away but drop in elevation by about 3400 feet, it should be a bit warmer!

Pictures: I have move to the Cottonwood/Camp Verda area. Maybe some of you remember me being here last spring or last fall. This is the area where they have Hot air Balloon Rides and I was treated to one flying over this morning. If you are interested in riding in one Here is a link to all the information about it.
I was out for a walk this morning and this one was landing just as I got back. You can see the “chasers” ( the folks with truck and van to pick up the balloon and passengers after landing) in these shots. I was about a mile away. I am lucky to be parked near an area where they often land 🙂
Coming in for the landing.
Hold her down boys!
Weather : I moved here to get away from the heat wave and the weather is prefect here now, but I will pay for that when the heat wave passes and the temperature drops back down a bit. I don’t believe it will stay cold long though.
Exercise: I walk for two miles this morning, after no exercise for two days with the repairs and traveling. Felt good to get out 🙂

Pictures: Here is two more of my snaps from the walk down the creek the other day.
I like the color 🙂

Exercise : Took the day off.
Location : I have moved yet again, this time to an area near Kingman, AZ.
Night Folks
Pictures: I am happy to add yet another lifer to my list, Grace’s Warbler 🙂
Data: Verizon will suck a extra $25 out of me this month 😦 Everything seem to take more bandwidth to do now-a-days. I fear that it will soon become prohibitive for me if the rate keep going up. Today is my last day on this data cycle so I will be able to do more tomorrow 🙂
Travel: I have moved but not very far. I am now about 40 miles west of Flagstaff.
Night folks
Pictures: Just one today, a Western Bluebird that landed near my RV after I got park today.
Travel : I have moved to an area near Flagstaff, AZ and it is an area that can get muddy and of course first thing is to get some rain LOL. I don’t mind too much, I’ll just stay in for a while 🙂 This is the area where all the Acron Woodpeckers are so look for some picture soon.
Setting Clocks: I had to roll all the clocks back an hour, AZ don’t do Day-light saving time. On the good side of things, I will likely be in AZ all winter so I should not have to set my clocks no more for a while 😛
Weather: I hear and see a lot of thunder and lighting near by and it seems to be coming this way 😦 Could be in for some hard storming! Not sounding good at all.
