A two walk day

Exercise: I got the day started with a short walk. I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.38mi, time: 48:15, pace: 20:19min/mi, speed: 2.95mi/h. It is always good to start the day with exercise.

A second walk ๐Ÿ™‚ I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.03mi, time: 45:25, pace: 22:21min/mi, speed: 2.68mi/h.

Solar panels up: This morning I titled the solar panels up for more sun and I see the differences right away.

Stats: Ha, they are coming back down! Sure glad all those people are not looking at me now, I was getting paranoid, LOL!

Weather: The wind is being very persistent today as it was yesterday, but today’s winds are a little stronger, still I don’t mind it too much. It is warm and sunny so all is well.

Added a walk

Exercise: Yesterday I did take a walk of about two miles, the early week days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) allow a little time for exercise. I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.31mi, time: 46:56, pace: 20:17min/mi, speed: 2.96mi/h. Yesterday’s walk

Weather: Wind, lots of wind. Guess this is just power for the course here in the southwest. Still I think that wind is the less of all evils that the weather can throw at you, better than a hurricane, tornado or earthquake.

My Stats

Crazy Stats : My stats took another run up yesterday, beats me! Going from 3 to 20 hits normally, to over 600 yesterday, wow. Okay, what the devil are you people looking at?!?! LOL. Thank you, to all my viewers ๐Ÿ™‚

Bird : Got to have another Blue Jay seeing as it is the bird of the week, yes?

Weather: We are getting just a little sprinkling that may turn into a rain yet. We could use a little rain to settle the dust.

Getting my Social On

Bird: Time for another Blue Jay, this one sating around looking majestic ๐Ÿ™‚
BlueJayWed_4877

Something a little different, here is a wild Flower, picture taken years ago in KY. Trillium Toadshade.
Trillium Toadshade_9940
When I took pictures of wild flowers years ago, I also took the time to look up the name of that flower and I have not done that in a long time. There is so much to learn in a life time and so little time to learn it, perhaps I should start doing that again.

Hits: On my blog there is a Stats section where it shows me that I got from 3 to 20 hits or so each day and I usually just give it a glance and move on because I write my blog for my own record mostly (and just a few friends). The point being I don’t really concern myself with the hits too much because there is just not that many, however yesterday I had a whopping 367 hits which is very unusual for my little old blog. I would not have even notice if it was not in a bar graph form, which make the amount of hits stick out a bit. Here is a picture so you can see what I mean.
Hits photo Hits_zps724125a2.jpg

Okay, what happen here? I guess here of late I have just been getting my social on, LOL. How you ask? Well I guess I am interacting a lot more with other bloggers. Yesterday I went into my reader and went to all the blogs I like and caught up on my reading, so it must be all the interaction I’ve got going on. Just for the record if I read a blog it is because I like it and not because I’m looking for hits. There are lots of blogs out there, so no one has the time to read all the blogs they like everyday (or maybe every month or year) because there are just so many good ones, but I do read a few that I like.

I have linked to a couple of new blogs lately too and maybe I feeding off their popularity.

So ….. the question is,” Am I getting more social in my old age?” LOL! Yes I am, and not only on the internet but in person too. I don’t see this as good or bad, it just is, and who knows, it could change, I have my momentsย  ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

All this said, it could have been something else that cause all these hits yesterday, but catching up on my reading and adding a couple new links and being linked by these two people s blogs (Thanks Jeanne andย Barbara). These are the only things I can think ofย  I have done differently.

Update; Wow, I don’t know what is happening, I just looked at my stats again and I am off and running again today, with over 200 hits! With all these visitors, I am beginningย  to feel bashful, LOL.

VA and a Doctor appointments: This afternoon I am going to chat with the Doc at the VA clinic and I already know that s/he is going to tell me my cholesterol is high, I’m not sure how high. I hope I don’t have to start on medication for it, because I find it a pain to get meds on the road, so I am hoping for the best. I’ll update on this later.

Updater; Wrong again!

Update; Not good, I am dehydrated and my potassium is high.ย  I am to change a couple of things in my diet and go back in two weeks for blood work again. Oh, I have to slack up on my exercise for a week before I go back too ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  Never had a doctor tell me that before. My diet soda is out and if it turns out to be causing me problems it will be forever ……. and may be anyway, just not good for you. No more bananas and drink more water(already drink a gal a day), I guess I’ll be able to drink two gallons a day now that I am taking the pop back out. The dehydration is probably connected to the Atkins diet, which I talk to the doctor about. It being connected to the diet is the best case scenario, that can be changed easily if need be. Hopefully small changes will take care of things. I guess my HDL cholesterol number where really good the doc like that. I guess I’ll know more about things at the end of the month, after more blood work and seeing the doctor again.

Long winded post today!

Exercise and Stretching: I do walk and ride the bike a lot here but it is always in short bust. For my stretching I have been doing it every other day and that is keeping my toes within reach ๐Ÿ˜€ a good thing for the old dude.

Antenna: I did change the antenna last night to see if it would help get channel 7.1 but it did not. However all the other channels have been doing good so far, and before, sometimes in the evening I would have problems with them.ย  For example 4.1 and 4.2 would drop out completely. If 7.1 stays the only problem than I have improved. We’ll see.

Time to rest, after hiding all them peanuts ๐Ÿ™‚
Jay Blue photo BlueJayResting_6567_zps011cf7eb-1.jpg

Weather: So far today it has been just a beaut. Sunny, warm and beautiful, just the way I like them.

TV Antenna: I order a new antenna for my RV and today I receive it. On some days here my TV does poorly with signal and I’m going to wait till one of those days and then change it out (Maybe this evening). The antenna I got is the King Jack. There are a good many (good reviews) and a friend of my just got one and liked it very well. Here is a Link to her post about it.

Walking partner: I have lost yet another walking partner ๐Ÿ˜ฆ but hopefully she will revisit again (Come back soon Jeanne ๐Ÿ™‚ )

When

I am debating when it is that I will hit the road, today, tomorrow? Not sure, let us see how things feel as the day goes. Maybe I’ll start putting away a few things and see how that feels LOL. I can’t just plan something ….. The notion to do it has got to be right, got to have the urge!

Update: I did get the urge here is my new location. When = today ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a couple of things done after getting here, one; I picked up a new vent for my RV and replaced the broken one, and two; I broke over and brought a propane tank so now I have an extra one again. With the cold weather coming it will be good to have the spare tank. I kept waiting to run into a deal but I had no luck on that ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I am sure now that I have one I will find them all over the place! LOL. Also today I went online and paid my bills for the month, that is always fun ……….. not!!!

The trip to Joshua Tree was a nice little trip and was something different to do, now what?

Tomorrow I need to do a few chores, like my laundry and maybe look around for some good plywood to finish the solar panel job.

Here is the new bird of the week, this is a young Blue Jay and the picture was taken in KY.

Blue Jay

Late …. again

Shoot it is 4:30 and just getting around to posting on the blog. Not doing a lot just have not had time to post.

I talked to my friend (Edison) today and got an email form another friend (Bill). These are two folks I really like at Sunny Acres, not that I dislike anyone ( well maybe one, LOL). It was just great to hear from the two of them, both fine folks.

As usual today I had a very good exercise day. A little over 11 miles on the bike and a very good stretch. My exercise is on the mark this summer, and I am very happy with how the stretching is going this summer too. Stretching is just one of those things that the more you do it, the better it is.

How about a new bird, this is a Blue Jay and the picture was taken maybe 6 or 7 years ago in KY. This shot reminds me of one of the few things I miss about being back east, and that is the very colorful season, see all the green in the background?
