Las Cruces: Today my friend had some appointments in Las Cruces(about 60 miles away) so I went with him and enjoyed a day of riding around and looking around the stores.
Pictures: Red tail Hawk and a Plainopepla.
Catching up: Folks it is going to take a while for me to catch up. Plus I will be very busy with other things.
My friend has sold me his very nice RV solar system and it all has to be taken off his rig and the solar panels will be put on my rig and the other components will be sold. A good bit of work to be done.
Pictures: Solitary Sandpiper, Red Tail Hawk and Great Horn Owl. Again these are from my first post back in Sept 07 .
Exercise: I walked 2 miles this morning.
Old Post: When I started Blogging I tried Google Blogger and didn’t like it so I move those old post to WordPress and I see that many of them are dated 3 Sept 2017 and I am guessing that is the day I moved them over. I Blogged a little that summer before hitting the road, trying to get the hang of Blogging.
Pictures: I woke this morning to see a beautiful sunrise happening. I was near too late getting up to get the shots but still it was fairly nice.
Exercise: There is a small canyon behind the area where I am camped and this morning I took a little walk in it and I am kicking myself for not taking the camera. I walked upon a immature Red Tail Hawk and It was setting beside a creek and I think maybe it was trying it’s fishing skills. I sat for fifteen minutes just watching it from about 50 feet away, it didn’t seem to mind. It would jump from rock to rock and look around for bit each time. When leaving I walked within 20 feet of it and it just sat there watching me 🙂 I also seen two Great Blue Herons, lots of Cliff Swallows and other smaller birds too. Needless to say I think it was a fine walk!
Weather: We got rain, a hard one at that!
Exercise: Short but nice walk today. I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.27mi, time: 45:58, pace: 20:16min/mi, speed: 2.96mi/h.
Weekly WORKOUT SUMMARY
WEEK OF 12/07/2014 – 12/13/2014
Pictures: Another Red Tail Hawk.
Red Wing Black Bird.
Blythe : Took a little trip to Blythe today looked around a bit, did some shopping and snap up some internet time from McD’s. Wanted to sync my music with Google music but I have about 6 gigs so I didn’t want to do that on my bandwidth. Of course at McD’s speed that is going to take a few trips, today I got about 1.5 gig done.
Exercise: Short walk today. I am keeping my exercise going pretty good and one day when I am on my death bed I can look back at my blog and at least say I was trying to do right, LOL. I walked with MapMyWalk+! Distance: 2.03mi, time: 45:25, pace: 22:21min/mi, speed: 2.68mi/h.
Pictures: Here is a Pyrrhuloxia.
Red Tail Hawk
All is well, today I will keep an eye out for check-ins while my Boss is away on an appointment.
Yesterday I was on my feet for a little over 3 hours and the knee is making a fuss about it (the right knee, the one that has been replaced). I hope this knee don’t cause me too much trouble. Maybe today I won’t have to be on my feet so much. All the walking I did while up at Rock Hound State Park may not have been good. We’ll see.
I like the ideal of being here in the city and close to things. I rode my bike to Walmart the other day and it is 1.2 mile from my RV, to the front door of Walmart. Kmart is even closer and many more stores are within .5 miles more distance. My mail service is maybe two miles down the road, everything is just really close by. Handy.
I worked for 3 hours outside this morning, just to make a showing, and I am now just kind of watching out for RVers coming in, till the boss gets back.
Time for a little lunch, hamburger and greens, that will work.

Running really late on my Bird of the Week, so here you go. This is a Red Tail hawk and I took this picture 5 years ago in KY. The hawks will fly pretty close to the ground sometimes and I just laid back on the ground , face up and took this picture.
Everyone have a nice day.
Yes, we have rain yet again. There has been a good many days of rain here in the desert this year, last year there wasn’t near as much. I think it is a good thing, it sure helps to keep the dust down. I hope at some point today the weather will break up for a little while, so as I can get just a bit of exercise in. I am sure that I can find something, that I can do for exercise. The rain is coming and going a good bit so I’m sure that I can find enough of a break for short walk. There was a little wind this morning and I didn’t know how hard it was going to get so I put my solar panels down and I might just leave them that way, because it’s getting late enough in the year that the Sun is now higher in the sky and I can probably get by without them being tilted.
This morning I seen two Bald Eagles flying over while I was driving down the road in my truck. Later after getting back to the RV, I seen a Red Tail Hawk grooming itself in a tree, not far from my RV. I took the camera out and snapped few shots, I don’t know how they come out, but we’ll see later. Must be a day for Raptors.
Update 3 30 p.m. The rain has stopped but the wind has picked up and is blowing pretty hard now. I’m glad my panels are down. The good news is, we got a little bit of Sun peeking through the clouds, a good thing. The Sun comes and goes but it mostly stays hidden behind the clouds, still, that’s okay, I’ll still get enough sun to get my batteries charged. The wind is getting harder the later it gets in the day.
I did get a walk done today, about 3 miles.
